New echoes reach us from Middle-earth… and more specifically from Season 2 of the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. A director makes nice promises.
While it wasn’t unanimous, Season 1 of The Lord of the Rings can boast of introducing a handful of interesting characters – within a hugely impressive technical achievement. The end of the first chapter, which reveals the face of Sauron (the big bad of the original trilogy), even opens the way to exciting intrigue! We can’t wait to see what Amazon has in store for its flagship series

“We have some very promising episodes”
We tell you this because Charlotte Brandström, director of several episodes of the first and second seasons, recently spoke in the columns of MovieZine (Swedish media)! It’s at Widescreen that we owe the translation: “What I know and can say with certainty is that (the Rings of Power sequel) will be darker, edgier and more character-driven.”“I think we still have some very promising episodes ahead of us,” says the filmmaker. Overall, Brandström speaks of a “very good season” with “big twists” and “very surprising” twists.
I watched all the episodes at Christmas (…) I think it will be a very good season. We tried to make it darker and a bit dirtier – I guess… And not just in terms of the image, we wanted to make it as authentic as possible – Charlotte Brandstrom
In the first season of “Rings of Power,” which aired on Prime Video in September 2022, exactly the big twists were missing… Back then, you had to wait five years between Amazon acquiring the rights and the final result on the small screen TV. This time the American company doesn’t want to keep us waiting so long. The sequel to “Lord of the Rings” is expected to be released this year.
