Red Hook Studios announces new indie game mode dark dungeon 2 It’s called Kingdom and it’s set to launch later this year.
Kingdoms also blends some of the persistence and roster management of the original Darkest Dungeon with the traversal and combat of Darkest Dungeon 2, letting you race against time to stop a threat from destroying this strange kingdom comprised of a network of safe haven hotels.
You’ll travel across these lands to collect resources and fight off evil incursions, using the resources you gain to upgrade your heroes and hotels through an extensive upgrade tree. You can also look forward to continuing unique quests and fighting back against three new monster factions: Coven, Beastmen, and Crimson Courtiers, unrelated to the game’s original Confession mode.
First released in early access on the Epic Games Store in October 2021 and fully released in May 2023, Darkest Dungeon 2 is a rogue-lite turn-based sequel to the critically acclaimed Darkest Dungeon.
It features the former’s unique style of 3D visuals, a new run-based road trip structure, an enhanced turn-based combat system, 14 playable heroes, five zones, five final bosses, and an “Altar of Hope” The metagame center continues to be upgraded.
The free Kingdom update for Darkest Dungeon 2 is scheduled to launch for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store in late 2024.
