Dawnwalker, a new role-playing game from the game director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has now found a publisher.
In 2022, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, none other than the game director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, founded a new development studio with Rebel Wolves. This has since been dedicated to the development of the debut title Dawnwalker – a new action role-playing game that is intended to mark the beginning of a saga. As far as publication plans for this ambitious work are concerned, we have now taken a significant step forward.
Today Rebel Wolves announced that it has entered into a cooperation with Bandai Namco and has been able to win the company as a global publisher for Dawnwalker. Bandai Namco will then launch the game for Rebel Wolves on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in due course.
The game, which is being co-developed by several key members of the CD Projekt RED team previously responsible for The Witcher 3, will be based on the Unreal Engine 5 and is a narrative dark fantasy adventure. The setting will be medieval Europe. Further information and details about Dawnwalker will follow in the next few months.
Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, VP for Business Development at Bandai Namco, commented on the publishing deal: “This is a new milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we can make the studio’s first game the best it can be for gamers worldwide We look forward to the universe developed by the very talented development team at Rebel Wolves and a great addition to our portfolio.”
Dawnwalker currently does not have a release date.
