Original message: On October 28, 2022, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 really gets going. While pre-orderers have been playing the story campaign for almost a week, the rest of the game can also play from next Friday while the multiplayer opens its doors. Shortly before the final launch, Infinity Ward is now sending a big day-one patch with update 1.03 into the race.
But be careful: At the time of writing, the Modern Warfare 2 Day One Patch is only available on Playstation 5, while PC and Xbox Series X players will have to wait. There are also no patch notes for update 1.03. We will keep you up to date!

Patch 1.03 is live – but not for everyone yet
When will update 1.03 be released?
The day-one patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has already been released – but not for all platforms. Update 1.03 is already available for PS5, while players on PC and Xbox Series X/S are currently getting nothing.
At the current time, Activision and Infinity Ward have not commented on when the patch will also hit the remaining platforms. However, the good piece should not be long in coming.
How big is update 1.03?
The previously known memory sizes of the respective platforms are as follows:
- PC: tba
- PS5: about 40 GB
- Xbox Series X/S: tba
However, players must note: Patch 1.03 for Modern Warfare 2 goes hand-in-hand with updates to the separately downloadable campaign packs. If you have the latest Call of Duty installed in its entirety, you must take it with you. Playstation owners report that the respective packs are around 7 to 9 gigabytes in size.
What does the patch notes for update 1.03 say?
Good question, there are currently no official patch notes to Update 1.03. Of course, as soon as Infinity Ward shares it with the public, we’ll let you know. Players have at least reported that various bugs have been fixed and that there are improvements in stability. We should learn more about that later.

Am 28. October 2022 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will officially appear after an approximately one-week pre-game phase. This means that multiplayer and co-op will also finally be playable. However, the new DMZ mode, which will be released together with Warzone 2 on November 16th, will take a little longer.
