Dean Hall’s Icarus will not be released in August as originally planned.

According to Hall, The game needs “a little more time to bake to become the best.” An official statement from Hall Studio RocketWerkz stated that the team is committed to providing players with the best experience when it is released, and the team will pay close attention to the development version.
To make up for the delay, starting from August 28, a series of test weekends will be held through Steam.
“[We] It has been decided that we want to give Icarus more love by postponing the game, and improve our testing process by spreading it over multiple weekends, each weekend has a specific focus,” a statement from the studio Wrote in.
“This also means reducing Beta fatigue for our players. We admit that this news may not be what you want to hear, but we believe it will lead to the best Icarus launch.”
All pre-orders can participate in the test weekend, the first weekend of which will be held from August 28th to 29th. The forest, as it says, will familiarize players with base construction and learn to hunt. Torrential Storms will be disabled, and the only biome available will be the forest.
Heavy rain will be activated in the forest biome from September 11th to 12th. The studio said that you must prepare your fire extinguisher and repair tools to prevent lightning from hitting your base.
From September 25th to 26th, the Arctic biome will be available for testing. Not only do you have to deal with the daunting and harsh temperatures of the biome, but there will also be Arctic animals around.
Beta testers will venture to the desert from October 9th to 10th. Here, you can expect desert animals and blizzards.
The test weekend of October 23-24 will focus on factions and what it means to be a prospector. Political knowledge will dominate, because various factions and companies are interested in Icarus-they need a “person who can run errands for them.” Fortunately, you will be rewarded for your troubles.
The last test weekend will be held from November 6th to 7th, and more information will be shared in the future.
