Who would have thought that the two would come together again to get one new survival game to be launched? DayZ creator Dean Hall and former creative director Brian Hicks have announced on Twitter that they are working on a "gigantic" new title under Hall's RocketWerkz studio.
The project has not yet been announced and still completely unknown, the website of the New Zealand developer is only talking about an upcoming AAA project. DayZ fans should still be listening.

Proven survival team
Hall and Hicks have already worked as a team for the standalone version of DayZ. Dean Hall had developed the original Arma-2-Mod DayZ and with it practically invented the genre of hardcore survival gameswhile he worked with Arma developer Bohemia Interactive on part three of the military simulation series.
Brian Hicks joined the team as creative director for the independently executable version and led the project from the early access start in 2013 until shortly before the 1.0 release in 2018. Hall himself had already Approved by the project shortly after the early access release

However, the survival specialist, who allegedly got his idea for DayZ during his time as a lieutenant in the New Zealand military, was also active as a developer. His studio RocketWerkz has released, among other things, the early access game Stationeers, which has had many positive player votes on Steam.
What can the new game be?
No details: What kind of survival game awaits us with the new project by the two experienced developers is still completely open. From a well-known scenario like a post apocalypse to space, pretty much everything is possible. We will have to wait until an official announcement.
But soon test run: It shouldn't take too long, Dean Hall noted that a play test for the new survival game will soon be on the agenda. Hall left it open whether this was an open test phase or more of an internal procedure. However, the public announcement suggests that outsiders may try out the new game by the inventor of DayZ.
