Shortly after the release of the Frostline expansion, DayZ celebrated new successes – and the momentum is still on the side of the survival game.
As soon as DayZ: Frostline was released, it was clear that the add-on brought a breath of fresh air to the survival title and that player interest noticeably increased again. Now it is clear: According to Bohemia Interactive, the title was able to maintain this momentum.
Today, the developer confirmed that player records have continued to increase since the add-on was released on October 15, 2024 – despite the records being broken within the first week after release.
The survival game has sold over 530,000 more times since the add-on. As a result, the game has now reached a remarkable number of 938,000 weekly active players. At its peak, up to 693,000 gamers play DayZ every day. The top number of simultaneous gamers on Steam alone reached a new high of 79,000.
