Behavior Interactive continues to work on the popular horror title Dead by Daylight years after the original release and delivers fresh content. A Japanese cult franchise is set to move in next.

According to the developer Behavior Interactive, you can look forward to the next new content in Dead by Daylight in March of next year. To this end, a cooperation has been entered into with the Japanese entertainment manufacturer and publisher Kadokawa. Thanks to this collaboration, the local cult brand Ringu (known here as The Ring) should now also arrive in Dead by Daylight.

The new chapter of the horror title is inspired by Koji Suzuki’s novel and the original film adaptation. With the corresponding pictures of this franchise you should literally get nightmares in the future as well as in Dead by Daylight.

In addition to the anticipated thrill, Ringu should also open up new gameplay options in the title. This is to be achieved by combining the eerie and melancholy world of the horror classic with the twisted fantasy of Dead by Daylight. How this will play out remains to be seen; it will be some time before the new content is released.

Originally released in 1991, Koji Suzuki’s Ring tells the ghostly story of a spreading curse and its death row victims. The curse began with a video that, when viewed, promises death in seven days. In 1998 the novel was filmed as a Japanese feature film of the same name.

The new chapter in the horror game is planned for March 2022; until then, further details should follow.
