Even though The Walking Dead has concluded in 2022, the universe of the undead continues forward with different spin-offs that fans are looking forward to.
On the one hand we have Daryl in Paris, and on the other Rick and Michonne on a love trip through the United States; but the series that most interests fans is Dead Citywhich will revolve around the relationship between Maggie and Negan while surviving on the streets of New York.
However, there is a question that viewers have not stopped repeating since this was announced spin-off: Why did you choose these two characters to star in an adventure if they hate each other?

Throughout The Walking Dead, we have seen that Negan has tried to have his moment of redemption after his stint as a villain in seasons 7 and 8 of the series. This is a question that the creators of the series, Scott M. Gimple y Eli Jornehave wanted to address in an interview with Collider.

The creators make a subsection that the characters are forced to cooperate because of the world they live in, but it’s still quite interesting how two people who hate each other have to live together to move on. Of course, everything indicates that there will be moments and talks between them in which they will reach a common point.
