Gaming News Dead Island 2 is missing an essential feature…
It’s been 9 years since the first Dead Island 2 trailer was released. Some players probably didn’t believe it anymore, but the title finally came out with surprising quality despite some missing features.
Dead Island 2: A Miracle Returned From Hell
Released last Friday, Dead Island 2 survived the development hell : an English term sometimes used to denote a game’s long development periods that keep getting pushed back, which bodes ill. After 9 years of chaotic development (three studios in a row hit the jackpot), Dead Island 2 is doing quite well. What one may at least believe in view of the press reviews, the title on the metacritical aggregator shows a 75 (15/20). An excellent surprise for a game that literally came from the dead but inevitably comes with some flaws.
Dead Island 2 is a frenzied action game in which the player defeats zombies in quarantined Los Angeles. He deliberately wants to be nanar on the fringes to paradoxically sell his friendly side: you can play up to three players in co-op. unfortunately, Cross play is not available
A lack of replayability
Something harmful, but it’s not the only missing feature since the New Game+ isn’t available either. At the moment, therefore, it is impossible to further improve your character through a new game. Still, it looks like the studio is working on something. During a live stream hosted by the XboxOn Twitch channel, Dambuster Studio urged fans to take a look at social media to add such a feature.
It has to be acknowledged that not including a New Game+ feature in a game like Dead Island from the start seems detrimental. The real essence of the title lies in the total annihilation of zombies, regardless of the means to achieve it: decapitation, mutilation, electrocution… There are many ways to give Hell-A a kick. A New Game+ would have allowed the game’s substance to be crystallized, for example by allowing players to keep their weapons, level and powers. A trap that doesn’t seem to have prevented some from mobilizing since a million players have bought the game and it’s available since April 21, 2023 on PC, P, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
