Dead Island 2 PC Specs Announced

After a long and difficult development phase, Dead Island 2 is just around the corner. Soon, many of us will be running around sun-drenched HELL-A, bashing the brains out of various zombies.

From what we know of Dead Island 2 so far, HELL-A’s setting looks amazing. So amazing, in fact, that some of us might shudder at the thought of our PCs being able to run it.Well, luckily for us, the developers shared a list System Requirements and PC Specificationsso you can prepare ahead of time.

The announcement of Dead Island 2’s PC specs also brought some additional news; the game doesn’t support cross-play between platforms, but it does support cross-generation cross-play on consoles. So PC users won’t be able to play with PlayStation users, but PS4 and PS5 players can party together, etc.

Dead Island 2 will also run at 60FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series, while being capped at 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One. Streaming mode will be available at launch by the content creator, and details of the various customizable HUD elements have been shared.

Beyond that, Dead Island 2 will only support DirectX 12. It will also support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening.
