Well, this is too bad.
Deep Silver tries to calm expectations By announcing During the Koch Media E3 2021 show, we will not receive any updates about Dead Island 2, Saints Row, Metro or TimeSplitters.
Koch Media, which runs Deep Silver and its own games, will hold an E3 event on Friday, June 11th. Obviously, the above games will be absent.
When the show announced that we finally heard something on the next Saint Street, everyone seemed hopeful.
Koch’s parent company THQ Nordic announced in August 2019 that it is developing a new SR game, and we will hear more about it in 2020. Well, it’s 2021, and we haven’t heard any news yet.
Then there is Dead Island 2, which is still under development, but there is no news about it. Last time we heard that Koch Media is confident that when it comes out, it will become a “kicking zombie game”, so this is at least something.
Disappointment and joking aside, it’s nice to know that the irons are still on fire. Showing a game too early is never a good thing. If developers need more time, then they need more time. We can wait.
As for what the 4A game is developing, only it knows, but it is nice to hear what Metro Studio has been doing.
Then there is TimeSplitters. Considering that it was just announced in May that it was in the early development stage, it would not be too shocking that it did not appear.
No matter what Koch prepares for us, we must wait patiently. We will confirm it next Friday.
