EA and Motive provide full game details dead enda remake of the sci-fi survival horror classic, accompanied by the first-ever gameplay trailer.
While maintaining the original game’s vision, Motive completely rebuilt the game from the ground up in the Frostbite game engine. This time, players will find more to learn aboard USG Ishimura as they relive the story with newly added narrative elements.
In addition to new narrative elements, Dead Space will also include gameplay improvements such as the skinning system. With it, Necromorphs have been rebuilt and will have layered flesh, tendons and bones that will snap, tear and shatter.
The new Intensity Director dynamically adjusts what is displayed in the Isaac path. This includes Necromorph spawns, how the player will choose to attack them, and environmental effects like light, smoke, particles, and sound. Isaac’s heartbeat, breathing and exertion also adjust based on his stress level, giving players direct feedback on his mental, emotional and physical state.
Originally a silent protagonist, this time, players will be enriched by a new narrative voiced by Gunner Wright and hear more from Isaac, the voice of Isaac in Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 original sound.
Players will also enjoy the fact that the game will not have a single loading screen or camera clip, so they can enjoy exploring the restored ship and its new rooms, routes, and obstacles.
Dead Space will release on January 27 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
