Fourteen years after the franchise’s launch, Dead Space Remake will allow horror game fans to rediscover the USG Ishimura in a new light.
Dead Space Remake is finally keeping its release date. Originally slated for this year, EA Motive has decided to delay the game’s launch to 2023 to allow more time to honor the original material. We now know exactly when that will be.
Dead Space Remake will be released in early 2023
On the occasion of the last live stream this Thursday, May 12th, the studio announced the release of Dead Space Remake for January 27th, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. ” We’re making great progress with the alpha version. We can’t wait for players old and new to find out how we enhanced the original experience in this remake to have the same impact on this generation.” said Philippe Ducharme, senior producer of the game.
And it is precisely this progress that the developers have shown in their new presentation. This time the team focused on the visual and artistic aspects of Dead Space Remake. If necessary, remember that the game is reproduced completely from scratch under the Frostbite engine. If we have to be content with several new illustrations, a short gameplay sequence gives a brief idea of who will be waiting for nostalgics in the final version.
Gameplay in October
The game is currently still in pre-alpha, but development appears to be in the final stages. The team actually announced that they were recently able to walk through the adventure from start to finish. Also, starting October 31, 2022, you can discover the progress of EA Motive during a “Full Presentation”. We will of course finally have a real overview of the game with more greedy sequences in the gameplay. For the more curious, see the full live stream in the video below.
