A new live stream from EA and motivation Set to air later this week, it will focus on the artistic design of the Dead Space remake.
The live stream will take place on Thursday 12 May at 6pm BST and viewers can tune in via the Dead Space YouTube channel or the Motive Twitch channel. It will focus primarily on the art design of the upcoming remake, where the Motive team will showcase early footage showing how it leverages the Frostbite engine, as well as next-gen hardware and PCs to visually evolve and recreate the environments, characters, VFX of the original Dead Space , lighting, etc.
Announced last July during EA Play Live 2021 (more or less leaked a month before then), the remake of the 2008 horror game will be a new generation exclusive, namely only on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC . All of the gameplay we’ve seen so far is early development footage, a unique strategy in the gaming industry.
Most developers seem reluctant to let onlookers peek behind the scenes, but Motive’s development process has been very transparent. The upcoming livestream may not be any different, although because it focuses on the game’s artistic design, it may show a little less gameplay than previous livestreams.
While it’s a remake of the original, there will be some differences with this new version of the game. For one thing, the game’s protagonist, Isaac Clarke, speaks on the show, though apparently only when talking to people and when it makes sense. Isaac was voiced in a later game, with voice actor Gunslinger Wright reprising the role.
Depending on the weapon you choose to dismember the undead, enemy aliens will be affected differently, and the dismemberment has more details.
