Starting today, you can screw up your space suit again on the Ishimura. The Dead Space remake is in the starting blocks and wants to offer you the old horror in a new guise. If you still don’t have enough heart racing after completing the story, the developers offer you even more horror. There is even some additional content waiting for you in the New Game Plus.
In 2008, Isaac Clarke made his way to USG Ishimura for the first time. There, evil Necromorphs lurked for him, nasty alien mutants who want to kill him. The sheer horror came not least thanks to the fantastic graphics in combination with the dense soundscape. But the ravages of time also gnawed at horror classics like Dead Space. And so a remake is in the starting blocks, appearing today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. As the developers have confirmed via Twitter, the campaign will not end after the end of the campaign.

Get your space suits cleaned because Dead Space Remake will feature a New Game Plus. Of course, the people at Motive Studios don’t just want to give you a second round and offer the following additional content if you dare to try again:
- Advanced suit at level 6
- Neue Necromorphs in Phantom-Variante
- secret ending
This should mean the alternative ending that has recently appeared in rumors. A previously leaked list of trophies has already revealed that the Dead Space remake could present you with a new ending to Clarke’s story.

Technically, the developers rely on the in-house Frostbite engine. This was used in the past, for example, in Battlefield 2042 and Star Wars: Squadrons. As is well known, Motive also twists the story a bit, but without losing the spirit of the original. From today on we are smarter and can experience first-hand what happened on the Ishimura and to what extent the horror still kicks in today.
The remake of the sci-fi horror classic Dead Space will finally be released on January 27th, but the official launch trailer is already available today.
