Ryan Reynolds revealed in an Instagram post that production on Deadpool 3 is finally complete. It now takes six months to complete post-production.
“This suit hides blood. And sweat…but today, with the Deadpool package, it’s mostly tears,” the post read. Reynolds also thanked two of his closest collaborators on the trilogy: Hugh Jackman, who couldn’t escape the role of Wolverine, and Marvel newcomer Shawn Levy. The actor is also planning to direct a Star Wars movie at some point in the future (unless it gets canceled like so many others have).

Jackman also celebrated the end of production on Twitter/X, highlighting the fact that the 55-year-old is truly grateful to finally be able to get back to eating normally… and shaving off his beard and signature Wolverine lamb chops. .
While “Deadpool 3” feels like House of M’s smoothest creative process in recent years, Disney and Marvel Studios’ first “Deadpool” movie also had to overcome huge obstacles. For example, two strikes resulted in a reduction in its production. Half and half and some pretty big leaks. The silver lining is that the SAG-AFTRA strike allowed the post-production team to make progress on the half of the film that had been shot, but we’re guessing six months to work and polish the remaining 50% wasn’t ideal regardless. Plus, Marvel Studios’ infamous remake could still (and probably will) happen.
In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Studios has also been in trouble lately. 3 and Rocky Season 2, so both the studio and its Disney overlords are counting on the R-rated sub-series inherited from Fox to lead them to another victory, and then again in 2025 after major creative shake-ups and serious delays. Attack.
Unless Disney’s theatrical release plans are further delayed, “Deadpool 3” will be released in theaters worldwide on July 26, 2024. This is the only Marvel Cinematic Universe movie released this year.
