Deadpool and Wolverine has just been released in theaters around the world, and while critics have been pretty divisive with the film, audiences have embraced it with open arms. However, it seems like this third movie with the Merc with a Mouth was going to have a slightly different title at first.
Through an interview on the American television program Jimmy KimmelRyan Reynolds revealed that the film was initially going to be called Deadpool and his friends (or Deadpool & Friends in English). However, this title was leaked and rejected by the public, leading to a last-minute change in the name of the film.
“The title was leaked, we heard from the audience, and they pretty much hated it,” Ryan Reynolds said with a laugh after mentioning these changes. The plans for the film were going to be the same, so seeing the impact that Jackman was going to have on the film, they opted to add Logan to the final title.
Surprisingly, the leaks helped give the public the power to change something within the production. Although they made other fake leaks so as not to spoil some surprises of the film, it seems that this leak helped the main people in charge of the film a lot. Deadpool and Wolverine
