The Merc with a Mouth may be the most annoying and insufferable thing in all of the multiverses. Several of his enemies (and allies) have openly pointed out that fighting him can be torture, even worse than death itself. Not only because he never closes his mouth and does incomprehensible things (breaking the fourth wall), but also because he is terribly difficult to kill.
I think very few people will be discovering anything new. You don’t even have to read comics to know that. You only have to have seen Deadpool and Wolverine to have witnessed how Wade pushes Logan’s patience to the extreme, to the point of despising him and wanting to kill him.
Here’s the question: is it possible to kill Deadpool? How should you go about doing it? There are several ways to shut him up for good. There are very powerful beings capable of doing it effortlessly: Thanos, the Brain, Magneto… The list is not short. Beyond those, there are three ways within the reach of almost any hero or villain:
- Power suppressor: Any object that suppresses powers means certain death for Deadpool, as we saw in the movie Deadpool 2It has also happened in comics.
- Permanent decapitation: Dismembering Deadpool and scattering all the parts miles ap art is a good way to kill him, although you don’t need to do anything that extreme. Just decapitate him and wait about 12 minutes, as Wolverine said in Cable & Deadpool #44
- Damage and amputations with the Muranasa Sword: “It was forged by Muramasa using a piece of Wolverine’s soul […] The sword is also capable of greatly reducing the effectiveness of a superhuman’s healing speed for several days. Wolverine himself has suffered from its cuts on more than one occasion.
Killing Deadpool is no easy task. Two of the three proposed methods require a full and agonizing death, since Wade would be incapable of going away quietly. In any case, you already know how to shut him up in the hypothetical case that you cross his path.
