While Apple users will receive their version of the first Death Stranding in January, there will also be solid news about Death Stranding 2 shortly. This is reported by one of the most reliable insiders in the industry.
Anyone who is eagerly waiting for new information and impressions about Death Stranding 2 obviously won’t have to wait much longer. At least that’s what a new report from the well-known insider and leaker billbil_kun suggests via Dealabs vicinity. Anyone who follows the rumor mill fairly often knows that information from billbil_kun is basically almost the same as an official announcement, because its hit rate is ultimately 100 percent.
According to the new report, the insider is “100 percent sure” that an announcement about Death Stranding 2 is imminent. The corresponding appearance can be expected “within the next 15 days”.
This makes Death Stranding 2 a hot candidate for an appearance on a possible edition of Sony PlayStation’s State of Play video format. After Microsoft presented the Xbox Developer Direct last week, Sony reportedly wants to follow up with its own State of Play very soon. Then also with an appearance from Death Stranding 2?
Such speculation could also be supported by a recent tweet from Hideo Kojima’s assistant, because in the image shared it seems as if a new trailer for Death Stranding 2 is being edited. One of these could then be presented at the State of Play.
What news would otherwise be expected? Dealabs speculates that the next appearance of the game could also bring with it the official naming – after all, Death Stranding 2 is not the official and final title of the post-apocalyptic horror sequel. The Hideo Kojima title could follow a similar schedule to Indiana Jones most recently on the Xbox Developer Direct; The Indy adventure also received its final name there.
Death Stranding 2 was first announced at the Game Awards 2022 with the title “DS2”. Retains Dealabs Well, the final name of the game could be Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The sequel has so far only been confirmed for the PlayStation 5; It is not known whether other platforms should also be considered, for example at least the PC.
