Death Stranding 2 May Not Release Until 2024, According to Senior Artist’s ArtStation Profile

Death Stranding 2 was finally revealed by Hideo Kojima himself at this year’s Game Awards. I’m not a huge fan of Doomsday Postman Simulator, but I know a lot of you are, and this news might just make your day.

In case you missed it: Watch the Death Stranding 2 reveal here.

The game isn’t expected to release until 2024, according to the ArtStation profile of artist Frank Aliberti, who has the role of Senior Artist for Death Stranding 2.

On Aliberti’s ArtStation profile, you can scroll down to the Works section to see a list of works that Aliberti has contributed or is contributing. While the specific listing for Death Stranding 2 has been removed (although you can check it out via this ongoing ResetEra thread), it was previously listed under the artist’s work, along with a 2024 release date.

Even though this is from a senior artist on the project, it’s still a bug and should be treated as such. 2024 is a reasonable time frame for Death Stranding 2 to launch, but as we’ve seen in the past, we never know what’s going to happen with the game. Again, that doesn’t mean 2024 is the release date, it could simply mark the end of Aliberti’s time on the project, etc.

Regardless of what we think of this leak, we can safely assume that Death Stranding 2 won’t be coming anytime soon. Are you looking forward to the sequel of “Death Stranding”? Or are you, like me, more interested in the horror projects Kojima is working on?
