On the occasion of the gamescom Opening Night Live, there will probably be fresh information about Death Stranding 2; Hideo Kojima has now hinted at this in advance.
Cult developer Hideo Kojima is known to have an excellent relationship with video game journalist Geoff Keighley, who organizes the largest and most important general events in the gaming industry, such as the Game Awards, the Summer Game Fest and the gamescom Opening Night Live. Accordingly, it is probably not surprising that the upcoming gamescom Opening Night Live will probably also provide fresh information about Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Kojima himself has now spoken out again via social media with a corresponding teaser, suggesting an announcement about the sequel. This is likely to involve the introduction of a character, as in one picture Kojima once again showed the silhouette of an actor with the words “Who Am I?”. Elle Fanning was also once teased in a similar way, before an official announcement was made shortly afterwards.
It is difficult to speculate at this point as to which character this will be. However, the Death Stranding subreddit was quick to reveal the actor. It is without a doubt the Japanese actor Kenjiro Tsuda.
Tsuda is no stranger to Death Stranding, having already been involved in the original game. He was the Japanese voice of main character Sam Bridges, but now he could get his own character in the sequel. Tsuda also has plenty of experience voicing anime characters such as Kento Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh! or Overhaul in My Hero Academia.
