Following the announcement of Death Stranding 2 at last year’s Game Awards, it will be unveiled tonight at the 2024 State of Play Awards to show players more of the highly anticipated sequel.
Unfortunately, we found out that the game will be released in 2025. There’s no release month yet – we’ll have to keep waiting!

It’s no news that we’ll be seeing more of Sam Porter Bridges as an aging Norman Reedus, a doomsday mailman, and the game is being made using the Decima engine (which was Used in the production of Horizon Zero Dawn, Until Dawn, and later Death Stranding). We also know that Flagiel (played by Léa Seydoux), now fully recovered and looking like a new mom, will be back. But what does the new footage show us about Death Stranding 2?
Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima showed off new footage from Death Stranding 2. In the new trailer, we witness some incredibly mysterious footage from the movie, a ship flying out of a baby’s mouth, Norman Reedus without his feet, an adorable puppet companion, an electric Guitar guns, and of course lots of gorgeous new environments that Sam must connect to the web.
The game looks stunning and is filled with more intrigue than before. This is a game we can’t wait to get our hands on – and we’re sure you will too! Tell us what you think below!
