Hideo Kojima, as a directing game designer, usually has a unique approach to creating new things. Taking “Death Stranding 2” as an example, Hideo Kojima revealed that he had the actor in particular in mind when creating the character of Elle Fanning.
According to Kojima, speaking with Geoff Keighley and Elle Fanning on his Brain Structure podcast, he’s been a fan of her casting work and hopes to have a look at Worked with her long before independence.
Speaking about the making of Death Stranding 2, Kojima explained that he had always had Elle in mind and contacted her to use “Elle’s talent and charisma to create a unique character.”
As for Elle’s specific role, Kojima explained that he couldn’t share much, but did explain that the two “created this character together” using new technology. “Even though I’ve set up the whole character and the script is done, I still take my observations of Elle and incorporate those characterizations.”
Kojima later explained his concern that Elle might turn down the role. “She’s a very, very important character, and yes, I’ve created the character with Elle in mind. So, I’m worried she’s going to say no.” Way, Kojima did have concerns, later sharing, “I had to throw out the scene I wrote because she had a major role.”
Elle Fanning’s role in “Death Stranding 2” is still relatively mysterious, and there is very little information about her. Death Stranding 2 also doesn’t have a release date yet, although previous rumors pointed to a 2024 release window.
