Death Stranding: Director’s Cut now also confirmed for PC

confirmed, Cut, Death, directors, Stranding

After the signs had already intensified in the last 24 hours, it is now official: The Director’s Cut of Death Stranding will also make it to the PC.

Publishing partner 505 Games today announced a PC version of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut by Kojima Productions on the occasion of CES 2022. The release is planned for spring 2022 both on Steam and in the Epic Games Store, but initially no more specific date was given.

The Director’s Cut of the game is an expanded and enhanced version of the main game, which is the first time Intel’s new Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) graphics technology will be used for an enhanced gaming experience on PC. XeSS makes use of the learning ability of machines to make the environments in the title tangible in detailed graphics with simultaneously increased performance. The corresponding mention in the Intel press release already gave rise to rumors about a PC version of the Director’s Cut on the Internet.

The improved game version wants to score points on the PC with a particularly high frame rate, a photo mode and support for ultrawide monitors. Cross-over content from Valve’s Half-Life series and Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED are also on board.
