The latest trailer for the upcoming PS5 games not only revealed some interesting info about Square Enix’s Project Athia. There is also fresh information about the exclusivity period of the two titles Deathloop and GhostWire: Tokyo.
In the battle of the new PS5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles, the game lineups will once again play a prominent role. The companies not only rely on their own first-party titles, but also conclude exclusivity agreements with third-party developers.
We recently knew that, for example, Square Enix’s great hope Project Athia will be reserved exclusively for the PS5 in the console area for two years. Corresponding new information is now also available in relation to the two games Deathloop and GhostWire: Tokyo.
Particularly interesting: Both games come from Bethesda, which has since been bought and taken over by Microsoft. Nevertheless, the agreements with Sony are in place, so that the aforementioned titles will initially appear exclusively for PC and the PS5. Thanks to the new trailer, it is now clear: This exclusivity is limited to one year, so that Xbox gamers can count on a corresponding version for Xbox Series X / S after this period.
Deathloop is a time loop shooter from Arkane Lyon, which was first announced at the E3 press conference in 2019. On Blackreef Island you are caught in the corresponding time warp and have to turn off eight main goals. The release is planned for May 2021.
GhostWire: Tokyo is developed by Tango Gameworks and was featured at the same Bethesda E3 conference. The title, set in an alternate version of Tokyo, where the population has almost been wiped out, is slated to be released sometime in the next 2021.
