The less fortunate of our readers who come to work every day on the RER B * know this only too well: Sometimes nothing is enough for a cascade of delays to turn your day into a nightmare. In the small world of video games, it’s the same except that the tunnel connecting Chtelet-les-Halles to the Gare du Nord should be replaced with this very ugly Sars-CoV-2.

And the metaphor is all Parisian, from Lyon we now get very sad news as the talented developers of Arkane, who we thought were in the middle of the final tweaking of Deathloop, announce today that they need a little more time .
Caramba! Encore loop
Director Dinga Bakaba and Artistic Director Sbastien Mitton actually spoke to formalize the deathloop postponement to September 14th ::
We made the tough decision to postpone the release of Deathloop until September 14th, 2021. At Arkane we have a vision for Deathloop and don’t want to compromise on this level. But we also want to do everything we can to ensure the safety and health of our teams.
We will therefore use this extra time to achieve our goal: to create a fun, original and un forgettable gaming experience.
We apologize for the wait and thank you all for your kindness and enthusiasm. It’s the players who drive our creativity and our work.
We look forward to seeing you on the shores of Blackreef in September.
The loop-based FPS is therefore now being postponed for the second time, as its release, originally planned for 2020, has already been postponed in spring 2021.. We hope that this extra time will allow the Lyon teams to polish their babies in complete safety. After all, some are waiting for it with undisguised impatience …
You will have understood (otherwise you have to worry): Deathloop is now expected for them September 14, 2021 on PC and PS5.
