In the highly competitive market of military online shooters, two series have been the top dogs for years: Call of Duty and Battlefield. For a short time, mayflies might manage to steal the water from them, but usually they only survived for a short time. With Delta Force, the Chinese giant company Tencent is now preparing to shake up the market.
The developers are currently calling Delta Force “Early Access”, but this will change in December. At the end of the year, the military shooter will enter an open beta, which will also herald the first season. However, there is a restriction because initially only PC gamers are allowed to get started. If you’re on consoles, you’ll have to wait until the first quarter of 2025.

The exact start date for the Delta Force open beta is December 5, 2025 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. According to Tencent, this is an “initial release version” that will even be provided with live service updates. Your progress will also remain effective from now on and will not be deleted as before.
The first season of Delta Force, which starts at the same time, is called Genesis. It brings fresh maps and features for the 32-player mode Havoc Warfare and the PvPvE mode Hazard Operations. A new operator will also be added, as well as weapons and even another vehicle.
Of course, Tencent also wants to make money with Delta Force, but emphasizes that real money investments do not give you any pay-to-win advantages. Instead, you can purchase a Battle Pass, and there are also skins for weapons and vehicles.
Additional content is planned to be released over the course of the open beta. We’re talking about maps, modes, operators, weapons and vehicles. However, a date for the campaign is still missing.
