Despite the exodus of teammates, is Perfect Dark development going well? Crystal Dynamics, the studio backing The Initiative, takes stock.
The Perfect Dark reboot announces its news, but not through the voice of its main studio.
Good news for Perfect Dark?
There was cause for concern with the sheer number of developers taking place within The Initiative Perfectly darkeven if the head of Microsoft Studios wanted to calm down.
Phil Rogers, CEO of Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider, Marvel’s Avengers), who supports the development team, agrees. Things are going very well for him.
We are working on the legendary game Perfect Dark and the project is going very well. What has been very promising internally is seeing how our team has capitalized on this opportunity. It’s a new way of working. When thinking about how people will work in the future, collaboration across studios, time zones, regions and different companies will become more and more commonplace, so it’s great to see how the team at The Initiative and our team at Crystal Studios are doing so well work together.
Everything is fine, but unfortunately we will not have any further information. Perfect Dark is currently being created for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
