From this fall, all events added over the seasons will be available for play for at least the next twelve months.
Like last week, Bungie is doing its inventory right. The studio takes stock this time on the way he will evolve his Seasons system, inaugurated with the second extension of Destiny 2, B astions of Shadows.
In a message to his community, Evan Nikolich, creative director of the game, returns to one of the main criticisms of the players. They regret that the features added over the seasons are no longer available when a new season comes up. This is how we had to say goodbye to the Sundial or the Vex Offensive in recent months. But these losses will soon be a thing of the past: Bungie announces that as of season 12 (September> November 2020), seasonal events will remain available for the next twelve months
However, not everything will be available yet. Only the main activities will be kept, not more secondary activities. For example, in the case of the Sundial, only the Sundial, the associated loots and the quests of Saint-14 would still have been available, but not the Obelisks, nor the Artifact and the pass.
This new policy echoes Bungie's desire, posted in the same post, to offer "best script interconnection" between seasons. Players who have stopped connecting to Destiny 2 for a few months would not miss entire pieces of the story, accessible from these activities, while more cinematic elements are planned in the future. By season 12 and the start of Year 4, the studio also plans to distribute Engrams to unlock weapons and armor from seasons 8, 9 and 10 from this summer.
