The release of the new Destiny 2 expansion Lightfall on February 28th is getting closer and so that we don’t get bored until then, there is a new trailer that introduces us to the new strand focus.
For Destiny 2 fans and those who want to become one, the upcoming Lightfall expansion could be exciting. In addition to extensive rebalancing of some weapon types, a new and leaner mod system and finally the ability to create and save loadouts, there are already some interesting features on board – not to mention the new location, the neon city of Neomuna and the new story.
Don’t forget that Strange also introduces a new subclass, adding to Arc, Void, Solar, and Stasis. Since no one can quite imagine what this new focus of darkness actually does, Bungie has released a new trailer that goes into more detail about the new skills.
One of these is access to the new Dangle ability, which allows you to swing through Neomuna and battle the Shadow Legion. So it seems like more movement and possibly more verticality is coming into play. In addition, the three classes also get new skills and subclasses and, above all, new supers:
The Warlock Scionweaver gains the Needle Storm Super. Suspended in the air, Warlocks summon a wave of penetrating strand missiles. When these projectiles hit their enemies, they detonate and weave into threads that track nearby targets.
The Titan Berserkers use “Blade Frenzy”. Titans form great blades on their arms as they roam the battlefield with light and heavy attacks. With Light Attacks, the Titans can quickly slash their enemies and build up energy for their Heavy Attacks, swinging their blades to launch projectiles that bind and incapacitate their enemies on impact.
Finally, there are the Jäger thread runners with their “silk stroke”. Hunters weave a rope arrow to slay their enemies. The light attack throws the arrow forward to hit a single enemy. Hitting an enemy with the arrow’s tip deals bonus damage, and defeating enemies in this way causes them to explode. The heavy attack swings the rope arrow over a large area, dealing damage to all enemies in the area.
The new Destiny expansion Lightfall will be released on February 28th and the new trailer will introduce you to the beach focus in more detail using gameplay scenes.
