bungee jumping Cost increases announced Destiny 2 20% off the season, but in the real world it would technically cost more.
Earlier this week, Bungie published a blog post discussing the types of common updates you’ll make to your game. Most notably, though, it also announced that starting with Destiny 2 Season 21, the pass will now cost an additional 200 credits, one of the game’s currencies. The previous season pass was only 1000 silver coins, but now it has risen to 1200, and the season pass plus the extra level 10 package has increased from 2000 to 2200. The biggest problem is that the only way to buy silver coins is with real world money.
The 1,100 silver pack costs £8.49/$10, which is obviously less than the 100 silver needed to buy the season pass. You can get the 500-pack for £4.49/$5, but that means you’ll have to shell out extra money for the season pass if you don’t have any credits left in your account. It’s an odd choice, and Bungie didn’t explain why in the blog post.
“For those looking to get the most bang for their buck with each new season, there will be new pricing for the Lightfall Annual Season Pass, and we’ll have a new way to evaluate post-annual release content in Final Shape,” Bungie wrote in a post. It should be noted that the price of Lightfall Standard Edition and Lightfall + Annual Pass Edition will not change. If you compete all season, go for it.
The next season of Destiny 2, Season of the Deep, will be released this month on May 23rd.
