The upcoming season of Destiny 2 is fast approaching and in the current This Week at Bungie the developers have commented on further revisions that you can count on in the new season.
The upcoming Season 18 of Destiny 2, which is expected to start in about two weeks, will not only bring with it the overdue revision of the missing elemental power Arkus. In addition to Arkus 3.0, you can expect numerous revisions, some of which, which are named in the current This Week at Bungie, could definitely make you happy.
Among other things, some less frequently used weapon types will receive significant buffs to make them more attractive to players. Scout rifles, heavy grenade launchers and light bows in particular should receive significant buffs. There are also revisions to the glaives associated with various exotic armor pieces. A few perks, most notably Iron Banner and Gambit perks, are also getting overhauls to make them more useful overall. In general, weapons should soon offer more opportunities to kill champions.
Bungie also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to exotic weapons and, in particular, makes significant changes to less frequently used specimens. Some like the shotgun “Lord of the Wolves” or “Dead Man’s Tale” are even completely revised. For example, the former is significantly defused in PvP, but improved for PvE. The second weapon is reworking some stats that were causing unwanted damage scaling.
Die complete list of changes can be found in This Week at Bungie on August 11th.
