Bungie announced yesterday with a trailer (see below) the new Destiny 2 season, which starts on the 10th of December and will run until 9th March 2020. Your opponent this time is a Council of Psion Shackles of the Cabal, which wants to manipulate time and undo the defeat of the Red Legion. Not only do you have to travel through time to find a lost hero, but you also need to repair four Obelisks in different locations to repair the timeline.
The content is partly for all players, partly for Season Pass holders to get. Free for all games are new seasonal ranks with matching rewards, a seasonal artifact, and access to seasonal armor along with the exotic Scout Rifle Symmetry, which you can earn as the season progresses.
Season pass owners get said scout rifle immediately. Add to that a new 6-player activity called sundial, exotic quests, armor sets and ornaments. You can also unlock new triumphs and lore entries, and there are new emotes, ghosts, and finishers. Anyone who has already gained Fortress of the Shadows, already has a corresponding Season Pass – in the package four of these passes were included.
