A new report from Poland suggests that the developer studio behind the 2019 Devil's Hunt action game had to be closed. The title had only been released for the PC last September and was also the debut title of the Polish studio Layopi Games. Since then, the Warsaw-based developer has been working on console versions of the game, but these are now apparently no longer to be released.
Citing multiple sources, it says on the part PPE in Poland, that Layopi's employees are said to have not been paid for months. The November salary is said to have been transferred in three installments over the course of December, January and February.
Other anonymous sources from the studio claimed that their belongings had been cleared without warning in the office space and that they had been relegated to their place in the company. At any rate, Layopi does not seem to be going any further for financial reasons.
The studio's official Twitter account has remained silent since the Devil's Hunt PC release. The title itself was rated rather negatively. A statement on the supposed closure is still pending.
