Gaming News Diablo 4 and Last Epoch can take a breather. Its main competitor, Path of Exile 2, will not be released on the announced date
Action RPG is a genre that has been popular among gamers around the world in recent years, and the same goes for one of its subgenres. Hack ‘n’ Slash has rarely had such a strong presence on PC and/or consoles, with no less than three major titles: Diablo IV, Last Epoch and of course Path of Exile. The latter game’s sequel was supposed to release next June, but Path of Exile 2 has just been postponed.
The Path of Exile 2 beta has been postponed
Path of Exile 2 will not be released in June 2024. More precisely, the beta will not start next June. Grinding Gear Games Studios just announced the terrible news during the PoE 2 GGG Live on March 21, 2024. The long-awaited action role-playing game by fans of the genre will enter the alpha phase within three months (i.e. June 2024). This will push the future beta to the end of the year without further details.
Those eagerly awaiting this hack ‘n’ slash planned for PC and consoles will have to wait before they can explore the reimagined continent of Wraeclast and discover deeply redesigned gameplay. This is good news for Eleventh Hour Games and Blizzard Entertainment, who can breathe a little longer before their main competitor challenges them on their land.

A new character class
Grinding Gear Games used its GGG Live on March 21, 2024 to introduce a new character class. After the recent introduction of the Mercenary, it’s time for New Zealand studios to stretch their arms to an archetype that’s hugely popular with action RPG gamers. The Ranger leaves his forest to target the heart of the corrupt hordes that litter the dark and brutal continent of Wraeclast. For about fifteen minutes this class was dissected by the developers.
It is primarily characterized by its mobility, speed and the ability to inflict damage from a distance. This outstanding archer uses different types of arrows with different effects (lightning, poison, etc.) and several skills, always represented by gems, to equip him to survive. Whether they are common enemies or bosses, the Ranger controls the battlefield by slowing them down and attacking them from all sides. He is characterized by his ability to “snipe” his targets to deliver critical attacks and create devastating elemental combos. There are still many secrets to be discovered about this class in Path of Exile 2. Grinding Gear Games has barely scratched the surface.
