It’s been a year since the release of Diablo IV – how time flies! It’s been a pretty turbulent 12 months for Blizzard’s action-RPG, with some highs, some really weird lows, and some unforced errors, but we think it’s all settled now.
The latest update, Season 4 Spoils of War Reborn, has kept players busy, with many calling it the best season of the game yet – even if it’s not a huge season in terms of new content. However, the mechanical and systemic changes it brings are game-changing.
Blizzard clearly wants to keep this train moving, and it’s using the game’s one-year birthday celebrations to do so.

Diablo 4 is having its first anniversary celebration, called Goblin MarchThe two-part event triggers in-game rewards and gives players some freebies from the game’s high-priced cosmetics store.
The event officially kicked off Thursday, June 6. Free shop gifts every day from June 6 – June 12but if you miss any of the rewards, claim them before June 20th. In-game, you can expect it to start on the same day, and it will last until June 13th.
As the name implies, Goblin March will greatly increase the number (and instances) of treasure goblins in Diablo IV. Not only will you encounter these slippery fellows more often, they’ll also drop even More loot. In fact, if you’re lucky, you might get a bigger treasure bag, containing the highest power level 925 items in the game.
Even more interesting is the chance that Treasure Goblins will appear in pairs or even packs–something that is possible in today’s Diablo IV, but very rare. To further fuel the thirst for loot, Greedy Shrines will appear more frequently to satisfy your appetite for gold.
Goblin March Part 2 brings us a special anniversary edition of Diablo IV Mother’s Blessing Events, essentially double the experience points in the game. Incomplete However, in this case, you will receive double the bonus, 25% XP bonus and 50% gold bonus (both multiplicative).
If you’ve played Diablo IV during any of the previous Mother’s Blessing events, you’ll know that these rewards can also stack with Elixirs and the Season’s Urn of Aggression (if you have them activated). Mother’s Blessing: Anniversary Edition will last for ten days and will be available in the Seasonal and Eternal realms, as well as across all World Tiers.
