The date for the beta is yet to be set, but the page that allows you to pre-register to participate in the beta is live now. To do this, you will need to log in with your Battle.net login and choose whether you want to play the beta on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. You may recall that the game was originally set to release on PS4 and Xbox One, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
snowstorm There’s actually no acknowledgment that the beta registration page is live, so it’s possible that it will go live earlier.This Xbox and Bethesda The Showcase will be airing later today (June 12), so there may be an appropriate announcement by then.

One report says it can cost up to $110,000 to fully upgrade a character, mostly because of the gem system. Clearly, that’s a decent amount of money, and while most people probably won’t end up spending that much, it’s still exorbitant. Monetization issues plague even the smallest parts of the game, such as an example where simply completing a dungeon prompts microtransactions.
These issues are unlikely to affect a major series title like Diablo 4, but even then it’s going to be as bad as it is right now. Still, at least, Immortal is a fitting farewell to Diablo 3’s much-criticized art style.
