Diablo 4 received another major balance patch on Saturday, a day after the Friday balance patch, which went live just hours after the game’s early access launch.
While these two patches did bring some bug fixes and game stability improvements, they mostly contained balance tweaks – most of which were nerfs.
Blizzard explained in the 1.0.2d patch notes that some class builds are “beyond our reasonable range for game health,” so they need to be nerfed. That said, some skills do get small buffs.
The most radical change, however, comes with Paragon Board Glyphs. Paragon Glyphs are only available after unlocking after reaching level 50 on the board. Clearly, they provide players with a major advantage far beyond what the developers intended.
Attack speed notes have been reduced by 50%, so you won’t be able to stockpile them as much as before. As for Glyphs, with some exceptions, the bonus percentage has been reduced by about 34% across the board.
- The bonus of the critical damage glyph has been reduced by approximately 66%.
- Glyph of Vulnerability bonus reduced by approximately 66%.
- Glyphs rewards for rare nodes have been reduced by ~50%.
- Glyphs bonus to magic nodes reduced by about 40%.
- Glyphs bonus to Cold/Fire/Lightning/Non-Phys/Phys nodes reduced by ~62.5%.
In addition to balance changes and the usual slew of fixes, the patch also “significantly reduces” Treasure Goblin spawn rates – but only in PvP areas. For the rest of the patch notes, visit the blog post link above.
