game news Diablo 4: Unjustified Deaths in Hardcore mode remains, Blizzard is in no hurry to fix the issue
Attention hardcore Diablo IV fans: Blizzard finally has some frustrating death news! The studio seems to have found a way to combat annoying disconnects and unfair deaths with a new system. The problem is that it is not planned immediately …
Fed up with D4 players
Although Diablo IV Season 1 has just launched, players weren’t exactly sold on this first major content update. Blizzard’s software is said to only get better over time, but the community is already losing patience as it still lacks easy-to-implement features, at least on the surface.
At the start of the first season Diablo IV has been the subject of criticism bombardment by players who accuse Blizzard of not listening to them. Balancing is considered frustrating, and the lack of features that would improve gameplay angers many players, who are now calling for a boycott.
Nevertheless, Blizzard is not going to give up for the time being and intends to improve its newcomer over the course of the seasons. Recently interviewed by IGNProducer Joe Piepiora went back to one particular controversial element in particular: the unjustified deaths of characters in hardcore mode.
Progress, but not for now
Producer Joe Piepiora has therefore recently returned to Diablo IV’s hardcore mode. which has so far caused more frustration than satisfaction for the players who have experienced it.. With good reason: in addition to the many in-game bugs that have surfaced since the release of Diablo IV, the community also has to deal with premature disconnects that can sometimes lead to the death and disappearance of an Extreme character.
In fact, Blizzard would rack its brains to solve this problem. And the salvation of the players could lie in an object already present in the software: the Parchment of Escape. Joe Piepiora stated that using this item should help players in the future. The problem is that these new effects don’t take effect until Season 3.
With Season 3, the Escape Scroll will work in such a way that if players disconnect and have a scroll in their inventory, they can immediately use it to evacuate a dungeon if they are in a dangerous situation. We see players in these situations, we try to fix these connectivity issues as soon as we find them, and we try to improve the experience for those players. (…)
Despite that statement, it’s hard to see how escape scrolls work when disconnected. However, this feature won’t be available until Season 3, so we’ll have to be patient.
