Barbarians, Wizards, Druids, Hunters and Necromancers, listen up! Diablo 4 brings new information on a topic that is exciting for both complete Diablo newcomers and veterans: The levels of difficulty.
In an interview with IGN spoke namely Game Director Joe Shely and Manager Rod Fergusson about the new World Tiers for Diablo 4, which not only play a role at the start of the game. We have summarized all information for you.
This is how the world tiers work
The first two levels of difficulty, World Tier 1 and World Tier 2, can be selected by everyone at the start of the game and represent the easy and normal level of difficulty.
- Tier 1: This “adventure mode” appeals to Diablo newbies or anyone who would rather enjoy the world and story without constantly biting the dust.
- Tier 2: The second level represents the normal level of difficulty if you are looking for a genuine Diablo challenge or are already action RPG experts.
It gets interesting from level 50, where you can unlock additional world tiers that contain “holy” and “ancient” items, as well as some unique items for advanced players.
- Tier 3, 4 and 5: You must first earn each of these new difficulty levels. At the end of each world tier, a final boss awaits you. If you defeat him, you can advance to the next higher world tier. According to the developers, this should give you the security that your skills are sufficient for the next level of difficulty.
- Last World Tier: The last stage is designed to bring your equipment to the final level 100 and once again comes up with a final and extremely challenging final boss, which is the last bastion of the endgame.
