Blizzard developers are back from the holidays with some news for all Diablo 4 players eager to learn more about the game's next season. Season 7 kicks off on January 21, the day Season 6 ended, so it's time for the team to reconvene and reveal some secrets.
A more official developer update will return next week, providing a final preview before Season 7's new content is released next week.

January’s Diablo 4 developer update will be Thursday, January 16 exist 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm UK. The point of this issue is to preview all the remaining details for the upcoming seventh season, which does include a new seasonal questline.
As you may recall, Blizzard revealed nearly all the details about Season 7 during a livestream ahead of the official PTR in December. That's because Season 7 will also be launching with patch 2.1, which is important enough to warrant its own testing environment.
Becoming a witch and wielding witch powers is a theme of the game, but Blizzard had to spoil that theme early due to the way the new mechanics intersected with existing gameplay.
In addition to new gems, sorcerous powers, and new quest lines/faction grinding, Season Seven also comes with some major tweaks to general gameplay. Ultimate abilities are ramped up across the board and we're finally able to save loads for each character.
While it's unclear which members of the development team will be present at this developer update, the Q&A at the end of the show will indeed be returning. I also think there may be some things we still don't know about Season 7, which is another thing this livestream will hopefully address.
