The new edition of Diablo II does not yet have a specific release date, but is known to appear in 2021. Blizzard now seems to have come a step further, as an initial alpha test phase will start this weekend.
The joy among Diablo fans was great when Blizzard Entertainment actually made the new edition Diablo II: Resurrected official after many rumors and confirmed it for 2021. For some selected players, the cry of joy should be even bigger this weekend.
Background: Starting on April 9th, the developer is now organizing an initial alpha test phase. Interested gamers could register for this technology alpha on the Blizzard website and a few players will now receive an invitation to this test phase, which will then last until Monday, April 12, 2021.
The technology alpha does not yet allow co-op and is therefore only played in single player. Three of the game’s seven classes are included: barbarian, amazon, and sorceress. The participants can also master the first two acts including the Duriel boss fight. However, there should not be an upper level limit; In theory, players can grind up to the maximum level.
For the remainder of the year until the release, Blizzard is planning further test phases. Among other things, there should also be such a test phase that focuses on the multiplayer. The makers will then gradually allow even more players to take part in the tests.
