Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the new edition of Diablo II. This will take place in September – but you will be able to lend a hand in advance thanks to the open beta. A specific date has now been set for this.
Blizzard Entertainment has now announced the longed-for details about the open beta test phase of Diablo II: Resurrected on the official website, before the full version is to be available from September 23, 2021. The beta will start in August.
Those who pre-order the new edition will be the first to get an idea of the numerous improvements and innovations. They get early access to the beta and can get started this Friday, August 13th from 7:00 p.m. German time. From this point on, you can gamble over the weekend.
You haven’t ordered the full version yet? Then you will have to wait a week longer before you can enter the open beta. The starting shot will be given here on August 20, also at 7:00 p.m.
Which platforms are supported? Basically everyone for whom Diablo II: Resurrected appears, with one exception: The Switch is not part of the beta program. If you want to play the title on the Nintendo console, you have to wait until the full version is released. Otherwise, the beta will increase to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
Progress in the early access beta for pre-orderers can be transferred to the freely accessible open beta one week later. However, beta advances will probably not be able to be carried over into the later full version.
What is the content on board? The first two acts are played. There is no upper level limit, so you can level diligently. Classes are the paladin and the druid, as well as the amazon, the barbarian and the wizard class. Online multiplayer and PvP are also supported.
