For many players, a crisp difficulty level is as much a part of the Diablo series as the prince of darkness goes back to hell. But what if you’re not that keen on a punishing gaming experience? Then Blizzard has good news for you, because Diablo IV comes with tons of accessibility options.

Let’s face it, Diablo fans often approach the games with a masochistic mindset. The first rounds of the action role-playing games only act as training for the upper levels of difficulty and hardcore mode. But not everyone likes the challenge and those of you who think so should enjoy new information about Diablo IV.

Because Blizzard has presented a lot of settings in a new blog post that will make your life easier. Of course, the accessibility options don’t only help those of you who are looking for a relaxed experience. People with disabilities also benefit from them. According to the developers, you can screw on more than 50 screws.

This includes standard settings such as key remapping on the keyboard, mouse and controller. You can toggle skills, optionally activate an action wheel, lock targets and swap the left and right stick when using the gamepad. You can also have special objects highlighted in color.

You can customize the mouse pointer in many ways. For example, you change its size and color. There is also a setting that plays a sound when you move the cursor over objects. For the co-op butchers among you, it should be gratifying that Diablo IV offers an in-game chat and you are no longer dependent on external software.

Blizard emphasizes that the options presented are by no means all of Diablo IV’s accessibility settings. We will find out more by June 6, 2023 at the latest, when the action role-playing game will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
