The German games association game was again able to present coveted sales awards for the past month of June – and above all Diablo IV and the current Zelda have swept away properly.
The association of the German games industry, game, gives monthly awards for achieving certain sales marks that games that have been published reach in Germany alone. Above all, two absolute blockbusters have recently pushed themselves to the fore.
This means, of course, on the one hand the action role-playing game Diablo IV from Blizzard Entertainment, on the other hand The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from Nintendo. Both titles have managed to sell over 600,000 copies in Germany alone within a very short space of time since their publication.
This mark is necessary to achieve the game Sales Award in the highest category that is awarded: multi-platinum. While Diablo IV took a little less time to do this, The Legend of Zelda is a little more impressive with only marginally longer availability time, as Blizzard’s action-RPG is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S while Zelda had to achieve this goal exclusively on the Switch.
A third game Sales Awards was also presented in June. The colorful online shooter Splatoon 3 on the Switch has meanwhile cracked the platinum award for more than 200,000 sales in Germany.
