Blizzard Entertainment is now bringing three absolute classics from the Diablo and WarCraft series to Battle.net so that you can now enjoy them again or catch up on the modern platform.
Cult developer Blizzard Entertainment has announced that three of its classic games are available on the current online service Battle.net, making them socially acceptable on modern PCs. This gives you the chance to relive or catch up on three classics from the 90s.
What games are we talking about specifically? First of all, there is the original Diablo, released in January 1997, which marked the start of the action-RPG series, which is still immensely successful today. There is also the start of the WarCraft strategy series with WarCraft: Orcs & Humans from 1994 as well as the later sequel and one of the best real-time strategy games of all time, WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness. The latter also includes the “Beyond the Dark Portal” expansion in the new Battle.net version; Diablo comes directly with the “Hellfire” expansion.
In any case, the vast majority of titles and classics from Blizzard Entertainment were already available via the current version of Battle.net – so now the company is bringing these three games on board as well. You can purchase these via the Battle.net Store and then get started to relive the respective opening titles from two major Blizzard brands.
Blizzard’s online service Battle.net itself has been available for many years, but has always been improved and expanded. Among other things, the online service now also offers all sorts of social features such as chat and cross-game messaging, so that you can exchange messages with your friends who are currently playing different Blizzard titles than you.
Will you now re-watch the old Diablo and WarCraft classics and indulge in the nostalgic feelings?
