Corona or not: Despite lockdowns worldwide, the annual awards are given in the game industry, although perhaps not in the usual framework. The DICE Awards 2021 should also be back soon.
The renowned DICE Awards will be presented for the 24th time in the still young year 2021. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 8, 2021 and the nominations in the individual categories have now been announced in advance.
The field is led by two PlayStation-exclusive blockbusters: Ghost of Tsushima (10) and The Last of Us: Part II (11) were nominated most frequently, including in the king’s category of Game of the Year. Other games that have earned several nominations are Hades, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
As usual, the DICE Awards are hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, AIAS for short. Due to the pandemic, the event will only be held virtually this time.
