Among the many errors and technical problems encountered by players Battlefield 2042 Since its release, one in particular may be more interesting than disturbing.

“Battlefield 2042” map is very large, even much larger than the largest map in the series at the time. This was done to support 128 players, but it naturally had its own side effects. On the one hand, when the player travels between occupied points, the map has many blind spots and open areas without cover.

This emphasis on size makes the edges of the map less detailed, or worse. Reddit user Darktoothone found that for some of these areas, DICE may even neglect to add collision boxes. This basically means that the building is not a 3D object. In other words, the player can traverse them at will, as if they don’t actually exist.

In the video below them, we can see that some of the skyscrapers on the hourglass map are hollow. A cunning helicopter pilot even used it to hide and wait for automatic repairs.

The hourglass is not the only map with this problem. Some skyscrapers on Kaleidoscope exhibited similar problems, while others only hit them when a player in the aircraft accidentally clamped them.

Next time you lose track of the helicopters, check if they are hidden in those collision-free buildings. Click on our “Battlefield 2042” tips for some really useful gameplay guides.
