Digimon Survive is still not under the very best of stars, because the release of the title had to be postponed again.
The hope for Digimon fans, namely Digimon Survive, was originally announced in 2018 and should be published the following year. Since then, the release has been postponed to the next year after year. In the meantime, however, 2021 is drawing to a close and now one thing is certain: This time, too, nothing will come of a publication!
The creators have now spoken on Twitter and confirmed that Digimon Survive should not come onto the market until 2022. Since we hadn’t heard from the title for a long time, the announcement by Bandai Namco is no longer too big a surprise.
Producer Habu Kazumasa explains in a statement that you simply need more time to further improve the quality of the game. This should later also have different endings and consequences depending on the decisions of the players. In purely speculative terms, the recent delay is said to have something to do with this issue, even if there is no official confirmation in this respect.
It is currently not known when the survival title with numerous tactical RPG elements will appear in the coming year 2022. The release is – as of now – still planned for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
